VILLAGE OF WATKINS GLEN, NEW YORK NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED LOCAL LAWS NO. 1 - 6 OF 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Watkins Glen will hold a Public Hearing on March 17, 2026 at 5 p.m., at the Watkins Glen Village Hall, 303 North Franklin Street, Watkins Glen, New York 14891.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to receive comments from the public concerning Proposed Local Laws:

No. 1 of 2026: Code Enforcement Program

No. 2 of 2026: Administrative Warrants

No. 3 of 2026: Sewer Use Law

No. 4 of 2026: Vendors/Peddlers/Solicitors

No. 5 of 2026: Fireworks Displays

No. 6 of 2026: Use of Fire Pits in the Village

The proposed local laws will repeal and replace each current respective local law.

A copy of each proposed local law is available for public inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and on the Village website.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to the Village Clerk at 303 North Franklin Street, Watkins Glen, New York 14891, prior to the hearing.

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Persons requiring special accommodations should contact the Village Clerk’s Office at (607) 535-2736 at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.
